Wildlife garden at Natural Surroundings

Beautiful gardens … Buzzing with wildlife

Our gardens and grounds extend over 8 acres (3.25 hectares), on mostly sloping ground between a wooded hillside and the River Glaven. It is a fairly compact site, and at a run it is possible to do a circuit in ten minutes (!), but most visitors take an hour or two to wander around, and many visitors spend all day at Natural Surroundings, especially in the summer months when there is so much to see. Take your time, sit and enjoy the view (we have several scenic viewpoints), and soak up the atmosphere of North Norfolk.

Around the café and shop the more formal areas include the tea garden, wildlife garden, butterfly garden, herb garden and vegetable garden. Wander just a little further, however, and you will find our wildlife pond and wildflower meadows, wet meadows and grassland alongside the beautiful River Glaven, and then some wild, wet, riverside woodland.
