We hold events throughout the year, from willow-weaving workshops to wildflower identification courses. Two events have been held every year, a 'fungus foray' in October/November and the 'New Year Plant Hunt' in early January. The highlight for 2026 will be our third Really Wild Flower Show, to be held as part of the Natural Surroundings Wildflower Festival over the weekend of Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th June. Fungus Foray

We are delighted to welcome back Dr Tony Leech for our annual walk around the gardens and reserve searching for fungi. Afrer a hot, dry summer the autumn has been mild and wet and a good variety of fungi have been popping up here at Bayfield - come and see what we can find.

Glaven Valley Walks

Guided walks with Simon Harrap. The River Glaven rises near Baconsthorpe and flows to the sea at Cley. In this series of walks Simon will take you to one of a variety of venues along the valley in search of wild flowers and other wildlife. 10.30am to around 1pm. £15 per person. Booking essential.
